HAMMERS EYEING THREE-GAME UNBEATEN RUN

West Ham United are eyeing a three-game unbeaten run in the Premier League ahead of their visit to West London to face Chelsea. The Hammers started the season poorly with three defeats, but they have since recovered to go on an unbeaten run over the last two games.

The Hammers started the new Premier League season with a difficult fixture at home to Manchester City who are the defending champions having won four of the last five Premier League titles.

Norwegian international striker Erling Haaland scored twice either side of the half-time break to lead Manchester City to a 2-0 away win over West Ham United. The Hammers made it two successive defeats at the start of the season with the slim 1-0 defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest who are one of the three newly promoted teams in the Premier League this season.

Nottingham Forest secured Premier League football for this season by beating Huddersfield Town in the Championship playoff final at the end of last season. Nigerian star TaiwoAwoniyi scored the only goal of the game at the expense of West Ham United.

West Ham United were on a two-match losing run at the start of this Premier League season before their home game against Brighton and Hove Albion. Argentine international midfielder Alexis Mac Allister scored the first goal of the game in the first half before the points were sealed for the Seagulls thanks to the strike from Belgian international star Leandro Trossard in the second half.

Since the 2-0 home defeat to Brighton, West Ham United have beaten Aston Villa 1-0 away from home and played a 1-1 draw at home to Tottenham Hotspur. They can make it three games without defeat against Chelsea. The West London side can make it two wins from three home games if they beat West Ham United at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
