Chelsea have reportedly been interested in making a move to try to sign Arsenal player Eddie Nketiah, but he’s set to sign a new contract to stay at the Emirates Stadium. According to 90min, Chelsea and Liverpool have both monitored Nketiah as a possible summer target to strengthen their respective squads. West Ham, Newcastle, Everton and Crystal Palace have been potential suitors, too.
The 22-year-old’s Arsenal deal is due to expire in the summer, which is why clubs are circling to snap him up on a free transfer. However, the report states the English centre-forward is now “on the verge” of signing a new contract to stay with the Gunners.
